Livac USA, Inc. Appoints a Chief Commercial Officer

Livac USA, Inc. welcomes Tom Lucas as Chief Commercial Officer, USA.

Tom is a seasoned sales and marketing executive in the medical devices market and brings significant expertise spanning global multinationals to US MedTech start-ups, growing and training national sales teams. Tom brings a significant US network, and expertise in establishing and growing successful sales, particularly within larger hospital groups.Livac appointed Tom Lucas as its Chief Commercial Officer (Head of US Sales) earlier this year. Tom’s appointment is initially on a contract basis and intended to convert a permanent role with Livac USA, Inc. pending successful completion of the Series B raise (see separate announcement).

Livac USA, Inc. signs two new US hospital accounts

St Francis Hospital NY

Following clinical evaluations in NY late last year Livac has progressed sales with St Francis Hospital NY

St Francis Hospital placed its first order for LiVac devices earlier this month for use in bariatric robotic procedures.

The hospital is affiliated with the NY Institute of Technology, one of the largest medical schools in the US and is a well-regarded teaching hospital nationally ranked by the US News and World Report. St Francis Hospital is also ranked #6 in NY and the NY Metropolitan Area.

St Francis Hospital is a member of the broader Catholic Health Services Group formed in 1998. The organisation provides health services through their hospitals, primary care centres and other short- and long-term healthcare facilities. The Catholic Health system comprises more than 9,000 associates and 1,300 physicians to the Western NY market.

Livac’s US KOL Dr Enochs, a leading bariatric surgeon based in North Carolina, has teaching privileges at St Francis Hospital NY and will be available to support LiVac cases within this facility.

Bon Secours Mercy Health Hospital Virginia

Earlier this month, Livac executed a clinical evaluation agreement with Bon Secours Mercy Health (BSMH). LiVac is well supported by surgeons within this hospital and pending successful completion of up to 10 LiVac evaluation cases, it is expected that BSMH will transition quickly to sales.

BSMH is recognised by Healthgrades and ranked in the top 5% in the nation in 5 specialities including gastrointestinal care.

Livac Completes CE, ISO 13485 and MDSAP audits

As part of its ongoing regulatory compliance, Livac completed its ISO 13485 and CE surveillance audits in February. The company has also expanded its global regulatory compliance to include MDSAP following strong initial interest from the Canadian market and will streamline the Company’s registration obligations in AU, US and Canada.

Completion of these audits are a requirement to sell Livac products into global markets.
